A cooling waterfall, Ingolton

For those readers of the diary who are not in the UK.  It has been a hot and sticky day here – we are in the middle of a heat wave.  Because of this I thought readers might like to have a nice cooling image to look at today.  So here’s Rival Falls on the River Doe. Part of the Ingleton Waterfalls Walk, in Yorkshire Dales National Park. 

What is a little odd about this image is the direction that the water is flowing.  It is flowing UP the photograph!  It was taken from a bridge over the river looking downstream.  As a consequence the water is flowing away from the camera.  I don’t know about you – but to me it definately looks as though it is flowing the opposite way.
