Restoring Hatshepsut Temple
A couple of days ago I posted an image which showed two men on their way to work at Hatshepsut temple. Well this is a photograph of a man working at Hatshepsut temple.
When I took this photograph the one area of the temple (the top tier) had only just been opened to the public. It had undergone extensive restoration. Actually I quite liked what they had done, but I understand it had caused some controversy as some academics felt the temple should be “preserved” rather than “restored”. Whatever your opinion of that, it was nice to get a photograph of restoration/preservation work actually being undertaken.
