Oleanna

Stockport Garrick has a studio theatre space. This is a performance of Oleanna – the very first play to be performed in the space. Rather unusually for me I was taking some photographs during a live performance. Normally I only photography during the dress rehearsal but on this occasion I had to make an exception. The theatre wanted images showing the studio ‘in use’. So after photographing the dress rehearsal as normal I returned to the theatre and took a few shots while the audience was watching. So that it didn’t have an impact on the audiance. I stood out of the way (behind the bar) and only took a handful of shots at the start of each scene – so that the sound of the camera was not a distraction.
