One of the oil and water images from Friday's "Smoke, Oil & Water" event at the studio. It is simply a macro image of oil droplets on water in a glass dish. below the dish (and very out of focus) is a towel to provide the blue/green colours.

I love the colours in this, a stunning abstract piece. That's what I love about photography- taking mundane objects and turning them into such wonderful works of art. it almost looks like some strange planetary system :D
+Mel M Thanks Mel, the planetary system look is something a occurred to me too. But then I am a sci-fi geek so that's only to be expected!
As am I, good sir, as am I :)
Love the colours in this one Ian
Steve, that was just from the towel we were using to protect the 'table'.
I tried adding stuff but never took away to leave the towel. I NEED to buy a macro lens and do more of these :-)
Fabulous abstract – love the colours
+Stephen Roberts Every photographer I know (including me) always "needs" a new lens! ;-) +JUNE FERROL Thank you again! ;-)
Damn – I meant to come down to this, and completely forgot…… nevermind…. there's always next time Ian.
+Diane Seddon LRPS With all that smoke, oil and water in the studio and me using your 5D at the moment it is probably just as well you didn't come down! ;-) Actually you missed a good night we had a lot of fun. I will no doubt run it or something similar again next year.
