I don’t know what you think you are looking at – but this image caused a great deal of debate on MV Marco Polo when I included it in a competition I was running.

Most people thought it was some sort of stained glass window or a dome. Actually, this is the inside of a Christmas tree on the seafront in Funchal Madeira. The lesson – when creating images always look for a different angle to create your images from.

Settings: 1/200s, f/8, ISO 100. Lens: EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM @24 mm.
