Inspiration Sheet: Night Sky Rarities
Welcome
You may have heard that there is going to be a lunar eclipse this Friday/Saturday night. So I have prepared this inspiration sheet with all the information you may need in case you want to try to photograph it.
But don’t get too excited – it’s a penumbral eclipse, which means you won’t see any great chunks taken out of it, just a very subtle change in colour/brightness.
So as a sort of bonus, I’m also going to cover the topic of how to photograph the norther lights. We rarely see the northern lights here in the UK, but I wanted to cover it in one of the Inspiration Sheets because I know a number of people who subscribe go on cruises – some to places where it is possible to see the northern lights. For everyone else I wanted to make sure you have the instructions just in case you ever get the chance.
Keep making great images,
Ian
