    Bottles back-lit on a shelf

    Taken on a Mother’s Day visit to see my mum. When I took this image it was always with the intention of processing it to extreams. I managed to take this so far in Lightroom – I got a very pseudo HDR look but wanted something a little more graphical. A quick trip into photoshop and the application of the “cutout” filter gave the effect I was looking for.

  • POTD Tue, 26 Mar 2013: On the ropes 26 March 2013


    Master Sken Academy

    Today I was doing some publicity images for Master Sken Academy. During this sparing match I was able to get close in to the ropes. However I soon learned that the ropes can move a lot further than I thought and I quickly moved back to a safer distance to continue shooting.

    The image illustrates how a wide angle lens can ‘open up’ the ropes so that you can see the to fighters easily through them.
