For tonight’s Friday Night at the Studio event we are going to take a different perspective on Art Nude photography. The aim from each set up is to create 3 images that will work together to form a triptych.A triptych is a display of three images that work well together. These may be three complimentary images, three contrasting image, or even three sections of a single image.
At this event we will look at various ideas which we can use to find three images from one or more set-ups. We will look at techniques such as using props as a common feature, the use of poses to unite the three images.
It is planned that we will include bodyscape triptychs as as well as more traditional art nude triptychs.
I am pleased to announce that our model for this event will be Viola Elisabeth (See: http://purpleport.com/portfolio/violaelisabeth/?referrer=iansstudio)

Hi Ian,
Just found your site via NW facebook page and discovered your tutorial event
How many tog’s usually attend, is this restricted or open to as many as poss?
Regards
Rob.
Hi Rob,
The answer is always “it depends” – it is never “open to as many as poss” – the numbers are restricted to what is appropriate to the event or workshop. I always aim to maintain a good photographer to model ratio when were are shooting models.
The Friday Night events are usually restricted to 7 photographers. I’m just announcing another event where the limit is just 4 photographers. If the event is a talk such as the RPS distinctions night that will cope with up to 10 people.
In practice the numbers vary – I would say the average attendance at an event I am running is 4 or 5 photographers.

Of course this Saturday’s open day will be different – it is a free event to promote the studio and to celebrate my birthday so for that event I really am hoping it will be as many as possible… but hopefully not all at the same time. I have a number of models telling me they are coming and another photographer/tutor available to help
All the best,
Ian.
