We had a fun walk up the coast today and were struck by the large number of wildflowers growing along the path. I took the opportunity to practice my flowerscape photography skills.

With flowerscapes I like to choose a specific flower as my ‘hero’ in the scene and use a shallow depth of field to throw the other flowers out of focus and to create a pleasing bokeh effect.

Settings: 1/1000s, f/4, ISO 100. Lens: EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM @88 mm.
