As I mentioned in yesterday’s entry, we had a surprise waiting for us when we got back to our tent last night. There was a horse standing in front of the tent. I don’t like horses (never trust a mode of transport that doesn’t have a handbrake).
Before I would go up to the tent I went to get the site owner to move the horse. On examining the tent we discovered a large hole in the side of the outer tent. And a some damage to the inner tent too.
Reluctantly we decided that we would pack up and come home today. While the weather did look reasonable, the thought of spending time in a damaged tent if the weather returned to what we had seen on Sunday was not appealing at all.
