Luxor Temple
This is the second image from my ARPS submission “The Splendour of Thebes”. It is a different view of the same location as yesterdays image. If you are wondering where the obelisk on the right has dissappeared to… you’ll need to go to la Place de la Concorde in Paris to find it.
There is a story that in exchange for the ‘gift’ of the obelisk the French gave Egypt a clock… that never worked properly. Needless to say the Egyptians would rather have their obelisk back.
Hi Ian
It’s good to see the rest of the temple. It really seems incredible that they should build these huge structures so long ago and all the work that must have gone into them too with no modern day machines to help. Thanks for your comment on my space. Titus is an incredible cat. It is the only time we have ever put clothes on him, but I always said that he would put up with it and he did, but yes his face was a picture. He just loves attention of ANY kind! Sue
