Bull relief at Knosos, Crete
Today we went to Knosos the ancient city / palace of the Minoan empire. It is quite a disorentating place with a maze of corridors and passages. Near the centre of the palace is a wall standing tall above the rest of the building. On that wall is a releaf painting of a bull. It is easy to see how a legend of a laborinth with a minator at its centre has become associated with Knosos.
