The Nileometer used to measure the level of the Nile. Egypt.

This strange doorway leading into the river Nile is infact an ancient Egyptian Nileometer on Elephantine Island.  Used to measure the level of the river Nile.  This is the view of it as seen from the on the river at Aswan.  Tomorrow I’ll show you what it looks like from inside.
