Regular readers of my POTD will know that I don’t have a very high opinion of the local delivery services. Royal Mail bending “do not bend” packages, couriers delivering crushing boxes etc etc. Today’s courier out did them all.
If you are a courier service, tasked with delivering a package – the first requirement is to deliver it to the address marked on the box. Not an address that sounds similar to the address on the box. My package, clearly marked with my name, my street, and the region of Stockport I live in and the correct post code was delivered to a different person, in a different road, (Tennyson Road instead of Tennyson Close) in a different part of town with a different post code area!
I was notifed for the mistake by the person to whom it was delivered. Thankfully they were honest about it. It took me about an hour of phoning supplier, currier, and person to whom it had been delivered to get the courier to collect the package and deliver it to me.
Not only that but it was (eventually) delivered, they didn’t even have the common decency to knock on the door or ring the bell and appologise for the mistake. They just left a somewhat crushed box on my door step.
Not impressed!
