Operation Huskey Control room

Over to the island’s capital city Valletta today.  Valletta is was city originally built by the knights of St John and it retains its grid pattern and much of its traditional architecture.  A significant part of today we spent in the underground World War II Lascaris war rooms.  It is from there that much of the island’s defence was co-ordinated.  It was also here that the invasion of Sicily (Operation Husky) was coordinated from.
