Building blocks
I find it facinating how often when I am trying to take a photograph each day the most interesting images are the ones I do the least planning for. This box of blocks was at a friends house and I took a grab shot of it as we were leaving.
Colour corrected and passed in to Color eFex pro. I used the detail extractor to bring out the texture of the blocks and cross processing (nicely undoing my colour correctoin work) to give an more interesting colour effect that still has some basis on the real colours of the blocks. Finally a subtle vignette and pass back to Lightroom.
In Lightroom, time for some noise reduction and sharpening and that, you might say, was the building blocks I used to create the final image.
