Fellow photographers,
I wanted to give you an update on events at the studio.  In particular I wanted to announce some of the models who will be joining us for shoots.

Making a Splash – Friday 18th March from 7.00pm

This week’s “Friday Night at the Studio” event is on the theme of photographing splashes in a variety of different ways – single droplets in wine glasses, larger objects being dropped into water and even water being thrown at a person!

I’m pleased to be able to tell you that Rachael will be returning the the studio to pose for us.  I did a test shoot with her earlier today and as you can see from the image her she is excellent!

All this for the bargain price of just £8.00!

Fooled ya! – 1st April, from 7.00pm

Next week’s “Friday Night at the Studio” event will be all about “green screen” techniques.  The evening will consist of taking images of a desk top studio scene, taking images of a model against a green screen and the looking at the Photoshop techniques for combining the two together to create some impossible images.

While the set up tonight will be a bit of fun – the techniques used are one that can be used in the real world.  For example I created this imaged, used to publicise “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, using green screen techniques to combine table top studio and person.  And I’ll demonstrate the techniques involved at the event.

The cost for this event is £15.00.

(Places limited to 8 photographers, contact me if you wish to book)

Night Photography Workshop – Saturday 2nd April from 5.30pm

For this workshop I have obtained permission for us to shoot in a church graveyard in Woodford.  For the first part of the workshop I will give a presentation on a number of night photography techniques.  This will be accompanied by printed notes.

After this you will have the opportunity to either try out the techniques at your own pace and in your own time in the grave yard.  I will be on hand to guide those who need it and to show you some locations in the graveyard and to help set up images with the model(s).

I pleased to be able to announce that our model for this event will be Alex (see photo above).  The main outfit that Alex will be wearing will be a wedding dress, so expect to get some very atmospheric images of a bride among the graves!

Cost for the is £25.00 if paid in advance.  £30.00 if paid on the day.
