Ella Jay at Ian’s Studio

I just want to give a quick roundup of what been happening over the last week or so and what will be happening over the next week or so.

Art Nude Training

Firstly I need to draw attention to the event at the studio this Friday night.  It’s is the latest in our art nude training sessions.  Our model is Ella Jay (See image above).   This time we are looking at one light setups again – but this is different from what we have covered before.  This is how to light a scene without using a paper background.  This makes it ideal for those of you who are into Strobist techniques.  More info and to book your place visit: https://www.ians-studio.co.uk/events/art-nude-one-light-no-paper/

Connected to the above I did a test shoot last week with model Elle Jaye, who will be modelling at the event.  We went through all the different setups we will be teaching at the workshop and you can see the sort of images you will be taught to create here:  http://photos.imb.biz/model/shoot/ellajaye1. Website Updates

Updates to the website have been continuing.  The “For Photographers” home page is now in its final form and show not only the newest posts on the website but if you scroll down a separate list of posts that have been recently updated.  There are links to two full lists of posts sorted by newest first and post sorted by most recently updated.

It’s worth having a look at the most recently updated page (you can also access it off the “blogs & archives” menu at the top of the pages).  Because I have been updating and uploading images and information about them on pretty much a daily basis.  If you want to be notified about those uploads I’m posting about them on Twitter and in the Studio Facebook Group.  So why follow me on twitter and join the FB Group?  I will also post some of these updates in the email newsletter.

Survey

And finally, the survey is going well I’ve had some really interesting replies and will be sending out the finding in the next week or so.  So if you haven’t yet taken the survey and can spare me a few minutes you can find it here:  https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MXJVHSD

Until next time, keep MAKING great images,

Ian.
