I do like the single sling black rapid I use most of the time but I’ve never been able to justify the expense of buying the double one for when I want to carry both DSLRs. Believe it or not I gave a very cheap £10 double strap harness off Amazon a try and it’s been excellent! At first I was very apprehensive about trusting my kit to something so cheap but it has proved very strong and reliable. You are right though – the cameras do tend to get clouted or occasionally clout something else whilst they’re at your side – normally some poor little child who’s head is at just the right height for a swinging D300s + 150-500 zoom to clobber!

Welcome to Ian’s Academy. Look forward to seeing some of your work, especially given that, like me, you reckon your artistic tendencies are lacking. I find it very hard to ‘see’ a good image and tend not to recognise them even if I have captured one.

For info so you can correct on future versions, on your latest inspiration sheet, Painting with Light, you start the main body of the text with “Let’s start are look at light painting…”. Suspect it should be “Let’s start OUR look at…”.

For me personally, the answer is yes. Having the facility to upload directly to the forum would encourage me to post more images for critique and enter the competitions more frequently.

25th November, you have an Architecture workshop. The website is all ok but the headline title on the flyer itself is wrong – you’ve spelled it Acrchitecture with an extra c.

As an alternative – how much more work is it to publish individual blog posts as a pdf? Interested folk could then download them as required and you wouldn’t need to generate the collated versions.
Or is there a plugin you could install to let registered users generate pdf versions of posts they’re interested in? I know I have a plugin on one of my WordPress sites that generates pdf documents.

This could be a glitch limited to old Mac computers (running both Firefox and Chrome) but might not be, so… once logged in and on your ‘For Photographers’ page, the link in the Latest box for your Funchal Fireworks video doesn’t work. It brings you to a page with narrative as if the video should be there but it isn’t.

Also, a slight typo on the Video Extra – New Year 2017 – Funchal Fireworks page. 2nd sentence you’ve missed off an f ‘…MV Marco Polo cruise ship just off the coast…’

UPDATE: Actually – clicking on the text always takes you to the Video Extra – New Year 2017 – Funchal Fireworks page. Clicking on the video thumbnail seems to take you randomly to either the YouTube page intended or to the Video Extra – New Year 2017 – Funchal Fireworks page. Weird!
