Fellow Photographers,

Lots of news about events at the studio in this email.  I’ll try to keep it brief and give you links through to pages on my website where you can get more information.

Friday 11th March 7pm till 10pm – Model Evening:  A change of line up!

Unfortunately due to illness, Sarah can’t come to the Friday Night at the Studio event tomorrow evening.  She has however arranged a replacement model for us: Rachael. There are some images of Rachael from a recent shoot on facebook :

I haven’t shot Rachael before so I can’t say much about her, but Zoe who will also be with us is fantastic, I was really impressed with her when I did a test shoot with her last week.  So at a bargain price of £16 this shoot is an opportunity not to be missed!

Friday 18th March 7pm till 10pm – Comic Relief Night at the Studio: Third Model Announced!

Next week’s Friday Night event is a comic relief fund raiser.  I’m pleased to be able to announce that the third model joining Ely and Latvia for this event is the amazing “Kayleigh Kisses” (aka Strawberry Venom).   Those who remember the Crosby Beach shoot I organised for C3 about 18 months ago will already know what a great model Kayleigh is.

So that’s three fantastic models, the use of a studio for three hours, a chance to help a great cause and have good laugh in to the bargain!  And all for the amazing bargain price of just £20 – and every penny of that goes to comic relief!

Studio Hire Information

I think most of you know that I hire the studio out photographers.  What you may not be aware of are the facilities that are available.  I’ve put a full list of lights and modifiers on the website:  http://www.ians-studio.co.uk/studio/

Hire prices can be found here: http://www.ians-studio.co.uk/studio/hire-prices/

Model/Studio Days – Kayliegh (Mon 21st March) and Ely (Sun 3rd April)

For those not familiar with how these work a model will be present at the studio for a full day.  Photographers may then book the model and studio together on an hourly rate, which is significantly cheaper than booking the two independently.

Model days are a great opportunity to work with a model on a one-to-one basis that simply isn’t possible at a full group shoot.  Many photographers don’t want to shoot for a full day or half day so this gives you a chance to work with a model one-to-one for shorter periods.

And remember if you need any help with lighting, or props I will be on hand to assist if you want me to.   I’m equally happy to just shut myself away in my office and let you get on with it if that is what you prefer.

Both Kayliegh and Ely are willing to work at any level up to nude at these events.

And Finally….  Introduction to Studio Photography Saturday 19th March

Still looking for at least two more photographers for this workshop.  It’s a great workshop for anyone who wants to try studio photography for the first time.  We start with zero lights and work our way up to four lights.

If you have done my “Introduction to Digital Photography” course this workshop takes what you learned there to the next level.

Printed notes and lunch included in the price – just £65.
