Over the last couple of weeks, I have been doing a lot of work to be able to add more video to my website. I’ve recently added no less than FIVE new videos. Three of the videos are exclusive to Academy Members and two of the videos are public videos that anyone can watch.
Public Videos
The first of the two public videos is a travelogue from my time in Canada in 2015 – this covers the day I spent in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
You can watch all my travelogue videos here: https://www.ians-studio.co.uk/travelogues/
The second public video is a VideoCast all about the new face aware liquify tools in Photoshop CC. These are not tools I expect to be using on a regular basis but I know some of you do more ‘beauty editing’ to your images than I do, so I thought it would be worthwhile just going through them.
You can find a full list of all the VideoCasts here: https://www.ians-studio.co.uk/photographers/videos/videocasts/
Academy Member Exclusive Videos
In addition to the above public videos, I have released the first in a regular series of post-production videos which will be exclusive to members of Ian’s Studio Photo Academy.
This first video walks Members through the upright tools in LR – including which option is best for which situation. We also cover why it is important to think carefully about where to put your horizontal guides when using guided mode and why choosing the wrong location can negatively affect how the image is corrected by the tool.
This video covers how to darken blue skies in post-production, in a similar way to using a polarising filter. It then goes on to show how you can very easily correct the ‘halos’ that such corrections can produce against dark objects.
If you want to do skin softening as part of your post-production workflow, you don’t always need to go out into Photoshop to do, you can do it all exclusively in Lightroom – not only that but it is actually quicker than doing it in Photoshop. This video shows Academy members how.
If you wish to become an Academy member you can find out more and sign up here: https://www.ians-studio.co.uk/join – if you are unsure about joining up – why not email me first and I’ll let you have a one month trial for just £1
All the best
Ian.
