Painting with Light – a catacomb in Rabat, Malta

I mentioned in one of the Malta POTD entries ( that I would post one of my “painting with light” photos after I got back.  This photo was taken inside one of the catacombs at Rabat.  There was no lighting within this tomb area.  There was a little light coming in from the catacomb on the right.  The way the photo was taken was to place the camera on a rock – open the shutter and with our torches Ann and I simply moved the light from the torch over the areas I wanted to be illuminated.  The technique is called painting with light.
